The best leather and colors, but cut way too big even in size regular and the padding is hard as a rock. The large Grant colorform symbol on the top is overwhelming also. Winning is the best headgear.

This headgear takes a while to get used to, when i first got it i hated it. However, after a while i got used to it and its very good. Offers a huge amount of protection, however the only drawback is that the visibility isnt the best, and sometimes you cant see hooks or side punches coming.

Bulky, but light. Large size fits my huge head. Good build quality. I personally find the visibility to be good. However, the bulk is so great that it’s hard to slip punches because even “missed” punches catch the unnecessarily oversized crown and shake your head in addition to making the gear constantly shift position on your head. Protection is good but the gear is so stiff that I get bruises and rashes under the padding, just from the abrasion of the tightly stuffed leather. Face coverage is great, nose protection above average. Overall, I think it offers a bit more protection from concussive impacts (IE; less brain damage) than most gear but I regret this purchase because of the bulk and the way it slips out of position. Once again, Grant is charging twice what their products are worth and the terrible customer service does nothing to make up the slack.

This headgear is great for BANGERS and HEAVY HITTERS. If you like to stick and move and fight with your eyes, then maybe something with full vision is better for you. I had no problem with this headgear, my head is 25 1/4 ” and the large fits perfectly. The leather is hard so it does a good job at absorbing impact when you bang with guys on the inside. I think the vision is still very good and I can see the hooks coming fine. It is bulky, so you will need to adjust the placement of your gloves on the face and side of head, like you do with most headgear. Previously I used the Everlast competition headgear which offered good visibility, but had little protection around the forehead. Not good if you get hit with shots on the inside. I like this headgear, after 3 sparring sessions it fits fine. Make sure you buy the correct size and use vaseline, etc. Also for you guys who fight on the inside, try using a CROSS-ARM defense, this will protect your chin well with this style of headgear.

Additionally, this headgear has very good padding around the ear, back of the head, and throughout the temple, forehead, and cheekbone area.
